UAE Visa Update: New Fees & Biometrics Rule for Pakistanis

Pakistanis coming to Dubai and other cities or regions in the United Arab Emirates on a visit visa, family visa, or work visa will now need to pay a fee of $69 to begin their application process.

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued new visa application rules and regulations for Pakistani citizens in 2025. If you are planning to visit the UAE, it is important to follow these instructions. Now you will have to pay a fee while applying for a visa, which has been made mandatory.

In addition to this fee, several other changes have been implemented, making the law more stringent for Pakistanis. These adjustments were introduced at the beginning of 2025, but there have been further modifications since then, which we will outline here.

Visa Fees and Processing Charges

  • Visa Processing Fee: $69 (approximately PKR 19,300)
  • Actual Visa Fee: Depends on the type of visa and is payable after processing.

Visa Processing Fee Payment Method:

You will need to deposit this amount into a designated account at Al-Falah Bank and present the original bank receipt at the visa center.

Note: This fee is non-refundable, meaning that even if the visa is not approved, the amount will not be refunded. Therefore, you should check everything in advance to make sure that your preparations are complete. Important Visa Requirements

  • Proof of Visa Application: A copy of the online application is required, failure to do so may result in rejection.
  • Bank Statement: A signed and stamped statement from the last 6 months is required, with a minimum balance of $5,000 (approximately Rs. 14 lakh).
  • Proof of Residence: Hotel booking, rent receipt, or confirmation letter from relatives/friends residing in the UAE is required.
  • Return Ticket: A return ticket is required for a visit visa, without which entry will not be allowed.
  • Docs: Among the identification documents, the passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months, and recent passport-sized photographs and a passport copy are required.

Special visa processing rules for children

  • Children under 5 years of age do not need to go to the visa center but only need to submit one passport-sized photo.
  • Children aged 6 to 15 will have their photo taken at the visa center and you do not need to bring any additional photos.
  • The normal visa process will apply to those aged 15 years and above.

Biometric Verification

If you have children with you, you do not need to provide biometrics for children up to the age of 5.

  • All applicants aged 5 and above must provide biometric verification at the visa center.
  • Visa processing will not be completed without biometric verification.
