Dubai Eid Al Fitr Free Parking 2025: Everything You Need to Know

Hey guys! Are you already thinking about Eid al-Fitr 2025 in Dubai? Yes, me too! It’s always a wonderful time – the city is buzzing with celebration, family get-togethers, maybe some fireworks to watch or sales to take advantage of. But let’s be honest, getting around the city and finding parking during the holidays can sometimes test your patience (and your wallet!).

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the possible free public parking 2025 that we have all been eagerly waiting for. It has become a kind of Eid tradition that also gives people a discount that is considered an Eid gift by the government.

When will free parking be available for Eid al-Fitr 2025?

If you are driving in Dubai during Eid, here is complete information about free parking zones, metro timings, and service changes. If you have the right information, you can plan your trip better.

  • Free parking period: Shawwal 1 to 3 (expectedly March 29 to April 1, 2025).
  • Paid parking resumes: Shawwal 4 (possibly April 2, 2025).

Exceptions: Fees will continue to be collected at multi-level parking terminals.

Since Eid dates depend on the sighting of the moon, confirm the exact days with the RTA website or the S’hail app.

  • March 30 (Sunday): 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)

Other important RTA service updates

Dubai has changed the operating hours of various transport and government services on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. Citizens and tourists should keep these details in mind to avoid any inconvenience:

Vehicle testing centers

  • All vehicle testing centers will remain completely closed from Shawwal 1 to Shawwal 3 (the first three days of Eid).
  • Services will resume as normal from Shawwal 4.

Customer Happiness Centers

RTA’s traditional Customer Happiness Centers will remain closed during Eid. However, the following 24/7 Smart Centers will remain open continuously:

  • Umm Ramol
  • Deira
  • Al Barsha
  • Al Kaffaaf
  • RTA Headquarters

Marine Transport

  • There may be changes to the Abra, Ferry, and Water Taxi schedules during Eid.
  • Use the “S’hail App” to view the latest operating hours and service updates.

The last thing

During Eid, people have to go out and have fun and visit many places with their friends and relatives. But if you are looking for free parking, then you can park for free without any hassle by following the instructions given during these 3 days. If you want to park without any hassle, then avoid multi-story parking (fees will apply). If your visit is to busy places like Dubai Mall and Marina, use the metro/tram.
