Eid al-Adha 2025 UAE Holiday Govt and Private Sectors

In the United Arab Emirates, public and private sector employees have been granted 4 holidays on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. According to this official announcement, the holidays have been announced from Sunday, June 5, 2025, to Sunday, June 8, 2025.

  • Day of Arafah – June 5, 2025 (Thursday)
  • Eid al-Adha – June 6 (Friday) to June 8 (Sunday)
  • Offices reopening – June 9, 2025 (Monday)

Holiday rules for Govt and Private Sectors

  • For those who are on annual leave, their Eid leave will not be counted as additional.
  • If you go to work during Eid days, you will get 150% salary or alternative leave.
  • On Monday, all offices and institutions, whether government or private, will open as per normal routine.
  • There will be no deduction in your basic salary or allowances during the Eid holidays.

These holidays were announced by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE). This is the same for both the public and private sectors.
